The CDC says there's a link between obesity and diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers, and in children, it can also lead to self-esteem problems and depression.
Unfortunately, in addition to the fact that 25.3% of US children are obese, the economic and societal costs of obesity in the US have risen to around $1.4 trillion, up from $976 billion in 2014.
